What does Grace change?

This isn't some new rule, friends,
This is no quick fix pill
This is our Father's loving heart
Saying, though you will sin, I love you still.
So, dirtied hearts, come on and bring,
Because Grace, it changes everything.

There is no greater game changer
Than what God did for you
When Jesus died up on the cross
That action cried, "I choose you!"
If an ounce inside you wants to sing
It's because you see Grace changes everything.

But, you may be thinking, can this be for me?
I've done so much that's weighs me down,
Most days I struggle to get out of bed,
Let alone shift this weary frown.
Well, my friend, if all you have of worth is nothing,
The Father's Grace changes everything.

If your happiness and joy are spent,
Fed up with following a set of rules.
I have good news and here it is
Grace equips you with each and every tool
The law's fulfilled in Christ, our king,
And Grace, it changes everything.

A child of God is how he sees
Each and every one of you
For you can trust this father's heart,
knowing his loving character is true
We are his children, no mere underlings
Because Grace, it changes everything

So, today, you do not stand here
With anything of worth
For sin had laced your every thought
From the minute of your birth
Instead, our father offers you
The most outrageous of gift,
Let Grace sink in, let Christ sink in
And feel your spirit lift.
Whatever your thoughts or the state of your heart,
Whatever you felt you ever gave
You are his child
Because of the Grace of God, through Christ alone you are saved,
Realise freshly,
And feel your Spirit start to sing
Through his wonderful Grace,
His powerful Grace,
His scandelous, beautiful, outrageous Grace
His Grace changes everything.
